Youth leaders of UICA visited UICS, Mexico

From October 4 to October 6, 2024, youth leaders from the United Islamic Center of Arizona (UICA) visited the United Islamic Center in Sonora, Mexico, participating in a community-organized event aimed at fostering connections between the two Muslim communities.

During the visit, the youth leaders engaged with community members and local youth, creating bonds and strengthening relationships between the neighboring Muslim populations. The event served as a platform for cultural exchange, dialogue, and shared learning.

One of the highlights of the visit was a speech delivered by Imam Didmar Faja, who spoke on the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. His talk inspired reflection and discussion among attendees about the Prophet’s example of compassion, leadership, and resilience. This is the second time an organized group from UICA has visited the Muslim community in Sonora, further solidifying the growing partnership between the two centers.
