Organized by the Islamic Speakers Bureau of Arizona in collaboration with UICA, the event aimed to highlight the peaceful teachings of Islam and their impact within Latino communities and beyond. Sister Azra Hussein opened the program by introducing the keynote speaker and expressing gratitude to UICA for hosting the event.

This was followed by a welcome speech from Imam Didmar Faja, UICA’s imam, who spoke about the center’s vital role in the local community and its outreach initiatives, including those in Mexico.

Jaime Mujahid Fletcher, the keynote speaker, shared his journey in establishing Centro Islámico in Houston and the mission of Islam in Spanish. He highlighted the challenges faced by the Latino Muslim community and shared powerful success stories of individuals who converted to Islam through their outreach. The audience was moved by Fletcher’s personal experiences and the transformative work of his organization.

The event concluded with a lunch generously provided by UICA, offering further opportunities for community members to connect and engage with one another.
