The Sunnah Barbecue was to learn about the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It was a beautiful and uplifting gathering. Set outside UICA masjid, the event featured foods beloved by the Prophet, like watermelon, dates, figs, and honey. These items were chosen for their nutritional benefits and significance in the Sunnah. Attendees enjoyed learning about the Prophet’s dietary habits and the values of moderation and gratitude.
In addition to the delicious food, the event also included activities such as archery and racing, which are Sunnah sports practiced by the Prophet. These activities brought a sense of joy, allowing participants to engage in healthy, enjoyable pastimes. The barbecue fostered a sense of community, blending Sunnah foods with meaningful reflections on the Prophet’s traditions and active sports. Alhamdulillah the event was successful and we hope to have more youth at future events.
