UICA Mawlid Event 2025
On Friday, September 12, 2025, the United Islamic Center of Arizona (UICA) hosted its annual Mawlid celebration in honor of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The evening brought together community members in an atmosphere of love, reverence, and remembrance.
The program was gracefully guided by MC Sarmad Khan. The event opened with a heart-touching recitation of the Qur’an by the world-renowned Qārī Syed Sadaqat Ali from Pakistan, whose powerful voice set a spiritual tone for the gathering.
Two distinguished speakers delivered inspiring reminders:
Ustadh Maruf Rahman spoke on the beautiful manners and noble character of the Prophet ﷺ, highlighting how his example continues to guide Muslims in daily life.
Imam Didmar Faja emphasized the Prophet’s hygiene practices, explaining how physical cleanliness in Islam is deeply tied to spiritual purification.
The audience was further uplifted with moving nasheeds in Arabic and naats in Urdu, performed by Syed Sadaqat Ali. The evening concluded with a heartfelt duʿāʾ (prayer) led by Imam Didmar Faja, asking Allah ﷻ to fill our hearts with love for His Messenger ﷺ and to keep the community united upon the Prophet’s guidance.
