This past Friday, November 18th, UICA’s Youth Committee launched its very first Roundtable Talk for the youth of our community. The talk was designed to bring together youth 15 years and older to have deep, meaningful, and spiritually uplifting conversations with each other and speak on whatever was on their mind. Our committee leaders and the teens that showed up enjoyed conversations about the importance of Salah, the struggles of being a Muslim in a non-Muslim country, feeling lost, and many more beautiful topics.
Not only did they enjoy the lovely conversations in the beauty of our gazebos and the cool weather, but the youth sipped on fresh boba tea drinks from Teamania as the event went by. It was truly a heartwarming sight to see the young men and women of our mosque come together and share their struggles, their thoughts, and their wisdom with each other.
May Allah continue to bless our mosque with such events and opportunities to connect. Look out for more exciting events like this one hosted by our Youth Committee, and for more Roundtable Talks!
